Events Overview
BVA features a regular series of exciting events designed to bring aircraft and controllers together in interesting, challenging, and congested airspaces. Events often feature more controllers and pilots than can be found online during an ordinary evening of ATC and often take place outside of our preferred airspace. Whether you're interested in showing off your piloting skills, flying a regional jet for medium-haul flights, or bringing a Cessna into the circuit at a small Class D airport, our event lineup has something for you!

Challenge: Across The Border (KBOS-CYUL)

BVA's Challenge gives pilots the opportunity to exercise their situational awareness and multi-tasking ability in unfamiliar situations such as unfavorable weather, complex airspaces, and treacherous terrain. Each Challenge involves a specific activity, or series of activities, for pilots to complete. This event is about learning through experience and putting aviation knowledge to practice.

This challenge will be a crossfire between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL).   This event gives pilots who normally fly close to home an opportunity to familiarize themselves with charts and procedures for flying in international airspace!
